about

I began the Sky Lore project because I keep searching for that perfect sound to ease my AuDHD (autism + ADHD) mind. Between my overthinking brain and my sensitivity to sensory stimuli, I often feel on edge, and need something to help me relax. Music has always helped regulate my emotions; ambient music, especially. Even then, though, sometimes it's hard finding the right music for the right time, so I decided to create that music myself.

"Sound Bath" is the latest result of that search for the perfect sound. Inspired by Jon Hopkins' "Meditations," "Sound Bath" is a piece created entirely of samples of Tibetan singing bowls I found on YouTube. Each sample is a different length, so that (hopefully) the same melody is never repeated twice.

Besides the full-length title piece, there is also a shorter version made specifically for ten-minute meditation sessions. I chose ten minutes because it usually takes me that long to quiet my mind.

I'm skeptical of the idea that certain frequencies have magic healing powers, but I find this album relaxing, so that's good enough. Hopefully you will, too.

Namaste.
